~ A Texas Beauty ~

One of my greatest privileges & desires in life was to meet our precious friend ...

I am sure you know our precious Celeste @ http://larearose.blogspot.com/, if you don't, get on over there y'all. Her Christmas gifts & ornaments are TDF & a must for gift giving.

There truly are beautifully spirited people in this world that are genuine, Celeste being one ...

While in TX due to a extremely tight schedule we were unable to see everyone that I wished ... sooooo Celeste & I had a fabulous telecon. Next trip will have time for that surprise 'I have a special delivery for _______', knock on the door.

Celeste is the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful thoughtful, giving lady ever! Her soft gentle voice greets you with a cherubic ring ... as expected. You can feel in each word her serene beauty, genuine caring , sincerity, her zest for life & gentle soul.

Our half hour flitted too quickly ... I just wanted so badly to drive right over & be with her ...

Celeste is a magnificent artist & cream o'crop designer. She is also being featured in Romantic Homes magazine. Many of we ladies have her delicate rose creations & designs in our homes. Please visit her for more of her latest beauties ~

Thank you Celeste for your being you ... I love you, sweet lady.
Our tree looks soooo beautiful with all your delicate pink creations. Thank you.

~ Childhood Treasures ~

Mother had a boot for each of we 5 children that would be filled with candy & nuts ... what a thrill to find all those 'goodies' on Christmas morn ... particularly those filled raspberry candies.

The wee candles Mother nestled in angels hair in her centerpiece on a round table in the front room. The little Santa had a back pack full of lollipops that were the best ever.

Our Christmas' would not be the same if these precious treasures were not shared with our kid-lings to hear the stories about each one, & my memories.

The rest of the year the boots are on display in Joshua's blue bedroom ...

Our hostess Marty presents Tabletop Tuesday ... visit her @
Thanks so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas to all.

~ Love Is... A Gummed Up Tongue, How's Yours? ~

Treasured (?) memories of our 'production line' preparing our cards yearly ... 'moi' signing & placing the cards in the envelopes, kids putting the flaps inside the envelopes, hubby licking the yucky glue on the envelopes & stamps.

We look back & chuckle, but it was family togetherness, tho the kid-lings didn't think so then ...

This is about how we both looked doing this project ... how did you prepare your cards with your family?

Cards in the mail yesterday ... house totally decorated ... gifts wrapped.
Now to just enjoy this beautiful season.

~ Smallest Catholic Church in the World ... TX ~

Just down around that corner near Miss Maggie's home we unexpectedly came across this precious wee church ... I screamed 'STOP'!

There was a whole line of cars behind us so Harold pulled over ... all the cars proceeded to pull into the church parking lot.

I ran across the road & asked what they were doing ... they were getting ready for Mass, held once a month.

Kindly they opened the doors for me to peek in before Mass started. As I was leaving the priest arrived ... we were invited to join them but Miss Maggie had lunch on the table waiting for us to arrive, so we had to pass.

I thanked them, told them I was Catholic & had never heard of the church before.

This church is absolutely beautiful ... it probably holds 30
sitting.

It is located east of Round Top.

Thank you Charlotte & Ginger for hostessing Spiritual Sundays. Please join our other lovely ladies @ http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/)

~ Pretty Pink Pleasures ~ PINK SATURDAY & GIVEAWAY

You know I love hats, particularly if they are PINK! My precious friend, Sandi @
sent this pretty pinkie ...

Had to model it with my pink shirt ...

and all these beautiful pink treasures she sent
recently for my birthday. I love the german plate, wee nosegay vase & such a fabulous vintage card ... but of course, the hat takes center stage.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Sandi, you are so sweet to remember me.

Destiny, granddaughter of Sherry @
hand designed & created this special bracelet
for me. I love it Destiny, you are soooo sweet.

Tell me you haven't fallen in love with these adorable vintage pink baby shoes ...

Every pinky gal has to have a pink neck scarf ...

And I fell in love with this TN pinky hat ... we need these in
MD.

Along the road in TX were several junk/antique (?) shops, so had to take a peek ... I know, how could I ever pass these up? Welllll, they don't fit in an airplane ... & they were very pricey ...

This vintage lovely soft pink wall pocket vase I have not seen before, can't you picture it with ivy growing out of the top ...

Even in TX they love pink & aren't afraid to flaunt it ...

This so gave me an idea for my planters next year, what d'ya think?

And a pretty pink shop enroute to our luncheon with Miss Pearl/Maggie in ... if you haven't read the write of her go back to last Saturday, it is worth every second you spend with Maggie & her beautiful home, Pink Heaven.

Be sure to visit our gracious hostess Miss Beverly @
bringing us PINK SATURDAY every week.
