Brooks Baker is now an angel ... she left our earthly world at a mere young ae of 50. Brooks was the loveliest cil we have, marrying my sweetest cousin, Leo. The love they had for one another was a constant 'bill & coo'. It was a devastating loss, we had so much fun as phone cousins, living so far away.
The year our Joshua was to be born to our daughter, Cari, Brooks made the reindeer from scratch for Joshua's first Christmas ... every single stitch by machine & many by hand of love are woven into this precious little fella. The following year Brooks made the Santa Claus, from scratch. These are very treasured gifts that are kept out all year in the blue bedroom with all of Joshua's family treasures ... often I hold them, revisiting silently the treasured words & laughter we shared together. God bless you Brooks & TY for leaving us a piece of your heart. At Christmas they take center honor under our Christmas tree.
The detail is perfection ...
Stitched with love ...
Aren't they adorable!
WHEN you decide to take 8 overseas packages to the USPS on the heaviest Christmas Monday for shipping, making sure you are FIRST in line while they are still fresh at the top o'the day ... THIS is what you take in for the postal workers ... LOTS of Ranger Cookies & Chococlate Chip Cookies!
What on earth!?!? Jocelyn Pleus, you are such a wonderful friend. I have been so blessed with your friendship ... This is what came in the mail, unexpectedly so. Look at the pretty Christmas paper ... so bright & cheery.
Jocelyn is a fabulous quilter, take a peek at her wonderful blog ~ Happy Cottage Quilter.
... and this is what was inside. The JOY ornament is now on our mantle center, hanging down, a perfect match to the decor; recipe cards that were direly needed in my pile stacked high to organize; a gorgeous pot holder; the CD Good Christian Men Rejoice (if you haven't heard it, go get it, it is awesome); A Life God Rewards book that I am going to tear into shortly.

Your note, Jocelyn, was heart moving. Thank you so much.
Merry Christmas!, to all ~ Marydon
