( GIVEAWAY ENDS on WEDS the 4th midnight ... go to yesterday's post to enter )
They grow up to wear funny things like this on their feet!
My marathon running son ... he loves them!
Please visit Love Is @ ~
Sharing our gardens with you ... they are pretty sad this year because of the 'flip me over, I'm done on that side' heat wave for 6 weeks. Usually you cannot see the mulch, they are so full ... but we are enjoying what we have.
Tidbit ~ for bad sun burns apply liquid VIT. C & all the pink & pain will subside by night fall ... as a redhead, I speak first hand of this wonderful solution.
Ever since we've owned this home I've tried to get these gladiolas up OUT of the spot where they grow. Every year we think we've accomplished this, every year they return. This year we are digging a huge area up & hope we get them all moved.
Pretty aren't they?
I have been so excited to find tons of butterflies in our gardens this year ... sweet delicate beauty
flitting all about ...
... & mulitudes of gold finch. I so love their melodic singing.
Just another lovely spot to enjoy ...
The orange flowers were actually bulbs I dug up from my G'ma Maggie's yard over 20 years ago. She had them growing to the right of her back porch steps for as long as I can remember ... so I brought enough back to share with my daughter & sister ... fond warm memories of one beautiful woman.
These are growing in front of the new home we are buying, I think they are hibiscus. I am so excited about this new home ... dying to get in & start all the painting & new moldings, etc. Hope these tenants will be good ones ...
Little Miss Pearl's family (the deer born in our garden) has been sneaking over in the eve & enjoying our tomato plants ... they literally ate every gorgeous tomato off one plant. Then we got smart & sprayed liquid fence down (works wonders, ladies!).
The cucs are doing beautifully, we tried (2) varieties this year ... both are delicious.
This year our Argeratum (blue flower) produced over 100 volunteers in the gardens so I spent a LOT of time moving them all around to other spots. Our gardens are VERY BLUE this year.
Some of our petunias are doing well, others not so much ...
'Miss Sunny's' ladies in waiting ...
I love walking thru my gardens in the morning, just God & myself in communion ...
... to enjoy the beauty He has given me the privilege to enjoy in this world.
His promises ...
