I hope you will enjoy our presentation of 'good things' ...
Family treasures bring me such joy ... I truly love each piece. Some days I just enjoy touching the pieces as I recall the joy they gave to those before me.
Thank you Miss Beverly of How Sweet The Sound for hosting PINK SATURDAY ...
Please pop by for a visit to the other lovely ladies participating.
Visit our GIVEAWAY, July 14th post. Ends Sunday @ midnight.
When I created this vignette for Mother's Hull vase I chose all German pieces, because of her Father's heritage. His
parents were from Prussia.
When you enter our foyer, looking across the front room you will see this first ...
This wee whatnot minus the lid rests upon some of Mother's hand crocheted hankies, & others I have collected.
... it was just too cute to not use
This Hull vase Mother had for as long as I can remember. Her love for green was prominent in her vase collections, but I chose it for the pink.
The tea cup set is Rosina English china ... such a delicate & elegant set, I had to have it.
The precious hand painted wee blue flowers & heavy gold were perfect to accent this table.
Isn't it a beauty?
To me Silesia is the most beautiful of all German pieces ... I love this bowl & the gorgeous roses.
This gravy is by Rosenthal ... again the heavy gold blended in with the other pieces ... the roses were fabulous.
The beautiful hand painted pieces draw me ... the handle & shape are so elegant
Since Mother's maiden name was Neu, I chose the covered dish hand signed by Louise Neu made in Bavaria. G'pa had a sister named Louisa.
I love the hand painted roses & scalloped edging
This darling bird house flower pick was made by a lovely lady years ago for me ... she knew I loved birds & roses.
Her roses are to die for gorgeous ...
Isn't her work delicate ...
Tied with a sweet bow ...
I tucked it into our crystal vase floral display for that pinky touch.
A pretty bridal pouch dresses up the corner of the setting.
I love milk glass cake stands & this one fit perfectly ...
... to hold these antique treasures
... & I can see them from my office
... to enjoy all day long
The tea table makes a perfect resting place ...
Thank you for visiting us today ...
