Our daughter, Caroline (Cari) Leighanne was a total surprise, but such a blessed arrival. I thought for sure we were having a third boy ... SURPRISE! This soft precious wee bundle of love arrived early, so tiny ... I couldn't decide what to name our beauty for 7 days so we called her 'Rosey' as she was so pink, precious & pretty ... MY daughter, our daughter, MY best friend. We settled on family names.
I am sure you don't remember as a child but every day we had an ice cream cone after your naps. You always wanted vanilla ... how tickled you & your brothers would be to give the dog(s) each cone. This tradition was carried on thru the years after you'd come home from school ... & then with our dog(s) ... every day between 2 & 3PM I would say 'anyone want an ice cream cone' & the dogs would line up for the ice cream cone, sitting there so beautifully.
And then, when you had Joshua, we did the same for him daily ... with Joshua giving the dogs the cones, he would laugh with joy as each dog took the cone.
I remember your telling your friends 'I know when I am in trouble when she says CARI ANNE !! It's the only time she calls me that!' I had to chuckle ... moments for a parent to treasure forever. Smiles ...
Remember all those wonderful good night stories after you were tucked into bed, with the prayers & hugs & kisses so the 'bed bugs wouldn't bite'?
As you grew older how something would tickle our fancies & we'd lie in our bedrooms, one would giggle , then the other & eventually we'd wind up with snorts & belly aches from laughing so hard. What memories of joy ...
Those precious moments when you'd come running into our room & jumping in between us ... just to be snuggled ... even as you got older?
How the warmth of those loving hugs are held closely to my/our hearts ...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, daughter, you are deeply loved ... THANK YOU for the beautiful moments in our lives together, they are treasured beyond all else.
We lift prayers of happiness to make your day blessed & loving. Mother & Dad
