~ Love Is... ~ Valentine Giveaway Winner ... & A Loving Memory

Yup! I know how to pick'em ... We have a winner of the Valentine Giveaway ~

Visit our Love Is... ladies ~

~ Sharing this lovely profound piece by Gwen Ellis ~
Not every day of our lives is overflowing with joy & celebration. But there are moments when our hearts nearly burst within us for the sheer joy of being alive. The first sight of our newborn babies, the warmth of love in another's eyes, the fresh scent of rain on a hot sumer's ever ... moments like these renew in us a heartfelt appreciation for life.

~ A Pair of Shoes ~

Happy birthday, my wee angel Sean Ean, you are forever loved.

I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
They are looks of sympathy,
I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am not the only one who wears these shoes.
There are many pairs in this world.
Some woman are like me and ache daily as they try and walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so they don’t hurt quite as much.
Some have worn the shoes so long that days go by before they think
about how much they hurt.
No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet, because of these shoes I am a stronger woman.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.

(Stay in touch, we'll be having another GIVEAWAY shortly)
Congrats! Diann is our lovely winner. If you haven't met her, do pop over for a visit.

~ Pebbles vs. Dimes ~ GIVEAWAY

Pebbles are created by God to adorn this earth, you can find either beauty or annoyance with each one. They can beautify your gardens vs being a pain in your shoe. They can make old furniture become awesome creations vs injuries when you fall.

Dimes are worth a mere ten cents. They can be made into beautiful jewelry vs being a mere ten cents. They may create lots of pretties vs being a mere ten cents.

If you look beyond the actual pebble, you can see that God had a reason for sharing this precious little pebble with us ... it has been used since the beginning of time for streams to trickle over, create pits for fires, homes & so on. He found a beauty in this pebble that we do not necessarily take the time to envision …

If you look beyond the actual dime, you can see it is sometimes shiny & merely materialistic … it provides us the necessities & luxuries of life, nothing more.

Thought provoking philosophy … (I wrote this, thank you for the compliments)

~ Sunshine & Poochie ~

On our way home from my many Drs. visits, our neighbor was done working on his farm for the day ... you can see 'poochie' (barely) nestled on the left sitting at his master's feet, lovin' life as they ride down the road ... we get such a kick out of him.

As another day arises to bring light & blessings
to the world ... (our backyard)

I noticed that little Miss Impatiens decided to bring color to the day (I wanted to see if she would winter well indoors) ...

Now I am going to back to 'chillin' ... been a long rough 2 weeks, things are slowly getting better. Not one to 'whine' on a daily basis of life's trevails, I will live ... & thank God it wasn't worse than it could have been. Crohn's is not a fun disease.

Thank you each for the beautiful notes, messages, cards & emails .. they are so uplifting, your love is deeply appreciated & treasured. Love each of you ...

We decided to 'take the chance' of making them into

This one I so love because of the cascading

I thought the marriage of designs as both elegant
