Woe is me! The local newspaper said that our wonderful Gov. Mike Huckabee was going to be on a local christian radio show. So excited to be able to go & see & hear this wonderful man, anticipation filled us. We went, the door was locked, not a soul was there. OY!!! It was prerecorded. Yuck! Sniff!!

~ Memories of Yore ~

I was probably a mere 9 or 10 years old. I went to St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Patsy Ann (a cousin) for Thanksgiving Bingo. Mother was so worried about not having money for food that year & as we played Bingo for my first time officially I got a BINGO but didn't know what to do so, I tapped Patsy Ann & said 'I have a Bingo, I think' ... she went bonkers yelling BINGO & embarrassed me to death ... I WON A HAM & we had meat for dinner ... Mother was so surprised, I got a hug. Patsy Ann won something, too, but I don't remember what.

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful, full of laughter & joys, love ...

May we remember at this time we have so much to be thankful for ~
* Our military for continuing to provide protection for our freedoms, despite what they go thru doing so ... & pray for the souls that have gone before in doing this tough job for us
* To our forefathers for outlining our constitution & rights & freedoms as our nation was founded with God included as a fundamental basis
* The love of our lives, our families, our joys
* Foremost, GOD as our one & only supreme being

~ Cherokee Legend ... Happy Thanksgivng ~

Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own.
The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him . Maybe even some human might do him
harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!
Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold.
It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him.
He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.
We, too, are never alone.
Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, Sitting on the stump beside us.
When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story:
Just because you can't see God,
Doesn't mean He is not there.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
(TY Ann)
